Counseling can be long-term or short-term depending on the personals goals, commitment, engagement and trust within the relationship between individual and clinician.
There are 2 options regarding the location of counseling:
Most definitely. I believe in the work and homework allows us to take techniques and skills home to work on and apply while away from the counseling space. Don’t worry - some homework will be easier than others! But most importantly you can’t fail! You will only learn!
